Place all of the larger aluminum plates between the cylinders on the top side.
Next place the 6" x 1/4" bolts down through the top plate.
Finally put the smaller plate up through the cylinders from the bottom and secure with the lock nut.
Cowling:

Place cowling on top of engine making sure all hoses and plug wires are not in the way.
Fit the cowling so the mounting holes are lined up with the ears on the engine. All engines are a little different so you may need to do a little trimming.
Next with a 1/4" drill bit, drill through the holes in the cowling and the threaded holes in the engine.
Then take the 1 1/4" pan head bolts and put through the mounting holes and finish with the nylon lock nut on the back side.
Continental
Remove the two outside bolts from the top side of the valve covers.
Next install supplied tabs to valve covers with the longer bolts. (As shown in picture)
Place cowling on top of engine making sure all hoses and plug wires are not in the way. The cowling should be on the outside of the tabs.
Secure the cowling to the tabs and with a 1/4" drill bit drill through the cowling and the tab.
Finish by bolting cowling to all of the tabs with the 1" pan head bolts.
